ohn is a Board member of RISA and has been a member of RISA since its inception in 2012. In addition, John has been on the Education & Training Committee since its establishment.
John has over 22 years’ experience in restructuring and insolvency, and, before moving to the Cayman Islands over 10 years ago, worked in the financial services and restructuring field in England. He has worked on a variety of engagements, both solvent and insolvent, including voluntary, provisional and official liquidations and both creditors and shareholder resolutions procedures. John has acted as Court appointed Receiver on various enforcement matters and SPC structures. John has also led local forensic and asset tracing investigations. Given John’s insolvency qualifications, he also takes a number of solvent Irish voluntary liquidations where Cayman is the residency for tax purposes.
John is a qualified insolvency practitioner under the JIEB system from 2008, a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (UK) and holds his insolvency licence with The Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales. John is also a member of INSOL.
In 2018 and 2019, John was named Insolvency Practitioner of the Year by RISA.
